Any takers? I would like to give it a try. I'm a very OS/2-centric developer, and so I tend to mess up unix-like builds by doing something OS/2-like instead of something unix-like. I tried, but never succeeded to build Mozilla. I think I'd like to try some ports -- once I get the toolset working, I think the actual work of doing the port isn't much, and I don't mind doing those extra bits to make it work well on the desktop with drag-drop, etc. Neil -- Neil Waldhauer, neil at blondeguy.com Don't skinny dip with snapping turtles. ----------- To unsubscribe yourself from this list, send the following message to list-request at unixos2.com unsubscribe ux2bs end **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Tue, 23 Aug 2005 10:05:58 +0100 From: John Poltorak Subject: Re: [Ux2BS] UX2BS On Mon, Aug 22, 2005 at 07:42:12AM -0700, Neil Waldhauer wrote: > On Mon, 22 Aug 2005 09:50:34 +0100, John Poltorak wrote: > > > I've just subscribed to this list and wondered if anyone else has.... > > > > I'd like to set up a new version of UX2BS and could do with some people to > > test it out. As it stands at the moment it is built around gcc 2.8.1 so building Mozilla is nothing something which it can do although it should be be able to create most of the Mozilla build environment for you. I did manage to build Mozilla myself at one point, but needed to spend quite a bit of time getting the build environment right. IMV that shouldn't be necessary, I would eventually hope that UX2BS can build Mozilla simply by running the command 'build mozilla'. That may be some time away, but ought to be possible. > Neil > -- > Neil Waldhauer, neil at blondeguy.com > > Don't skinny dip with snapping turtles. > ----------- > To unsubscribe yourself from this list, send the following message > to list-request at unixos2.com > > unsubscribe ux2bs > end > -- John ----------- To unsubscribe yourself from this list, send the following message to list-request at unixos2.com unsubscribe ux2bs end **= Email 3 ==========================** Date: Tue, 23 Aug 2005 20:11:36 +1000 (EST) From: "IanM" Subject: Re: [Ux2BS] UX2BS Hi John I've got about a years worth of emails to go back through and invite those people to join, maybe I should also post it on Voice News. Unfortunetly I'm had no reply from Ted for 2 months now, which concerns me along with the disappearance of os2ports. I suspect Ted reached the end of the road with OS/2 and didn't really know how to communicate this. > On Tue, 23 Aug 2005 09:57:58 +0100, John Poltorak wrote: > > > On Mon, Aug 22, 2005 at 10:35:53PM +1000, IanM wrote: > > > > About 5 so far > > > > > > Make that 8, I think everyones checking there email :) > > > > > > Is there any way to get hold of everyone who was on Ted's list? > > > > There may be quite a few who were on it and won't know of the new list.
