I'm new to the list. I am trying to port Gentoo to OS/2. I'm having some difficulty installing the ux2bs. I haven't found much in the way of current documentation so I'm reading the /unixos2/lib/ux2_*.cmd scripts to see how this goes together. Can someone clarify this for me? It appears to me that the install starts with the most basic and builds in layers to make it more complete. In this order: 1) OS/2 2) UX2 "environment" 3) uxrt dirs, emx+gcc 4) baseline 5) build.lst 6) ports in build.table 7) ports in packages I assumed that going as far as 4 would let me start building ports in 6, eg python and bash, but they failed apparently missing autoconf. I don't see autoconf in build.lst, so it doesn't seem that skipping 5 is the reason. What is the minimum layer I need to build stuff? What am I missing in my analysis of the process? I'm trying to stick to the minimum so I can build up a Gentoo stage1 release upon it. Thanks. -Brendan _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs
