Where does one find the current version of ux2_bootstrap.cmd? Thanks. You can grab it using this command:- wget ftp://unixos2: at 213.152.37.92/pub/unixos2/build_system/lib/ux2_bootstrap.cmd Remember it is still a test system, so don't rely on it, but feedback is welcomed. > Pat > > -- > Patrick Ash > patash at comcast.net > > There are only 10 kinds of people in the world -- > Those who understand binary and those who don't. > > This OS/2 system uptime is 8 days, 02:51 hours and 40 seconds -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 3 ==========================** Date: Mon, 3 May 2004 10:30:00 +0100 From: John Poltorak Subject: Automake v1.8.4 Automake v1.8.4 has now replaced v1.8.3 as the current version of Automake in UX2BS. No patches are required in this version as the OS/2 patches provided by Andreas Buening for 1.8.3 have been consolidated into the distributed version. ux2_refresh should update your build.table and 'build automake' will create an updated version of automake on your system. -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 4 ==========================** Date: Mon, 03 May 2004 09:23:33 +0000 From: "Patrick Ash " Subject: Re: Starting Over I ran the script, and the following is the result of the perl test. Unfortunately, the script failed about half way through with the "too many files open" message, even though I have emxopt set to 4096 files. I will try again to see if it will go all the way through. That's pretty good - probably the best so far, although it would be good to nail those remaining test failures. Everyone seems to get the same ones. > Unfortunately, the script failed about half way through with the "too > many files open" message, even though I have emxopt set to 4096 > files. I will try again to see if it will go all the way through. A number of people have also found this problem. Can you say which version of OS/2 you have and what sort of hardware you have? I can't help thinking that it is a memory constraint of some sort. I wonder if anyone knows of a utility which will display all the open files so that we can get an idea of what actually constitutes 'too many'. > Pat > > > On Sun, 2 May 2004 21:26:05 +0100, John Poltorak wrote: > > >On Sun, May 02, 2004 at 03:47:18PM +0000, Patrick Ash wrote: > >> After much re-engineering of my system, I find that it will probably > >> be much easier to do a complete reinstall of ux2bs.
