Could someone please mail the file to me? :-) If you zip it, please give the zip file another extension, since my mail server sees .zip files as suspicious files. Could someone please mail the file to me? :-) What problem do you have? Can you FTP it instead? Chances are that if you can't retrieve the file you won't be able to use it either since it retrieves additional files from the same server. I just tried it a second ago and it worked so there doesn't appear to be a problem with the server. > If you zip it, please give the zip file another extension, since my mail > server sees .zip files as suspicious files. > > Thank you! > > -- > Pieter Kruger > > IT-Dept - Technikon Free State > Bloemfontein > South Africa -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Fri, 12 Mar 2004 10:57:23 +0000 From: Pieter Kruger Subject: Re: ux2_bootstrap unavialable This is a multi-part message in MIME format... ------------=_1079074938-5753-43 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Hi, Thanks, I was able to ftp it from the server. I am behind a firewall and therefore have to use htpp- or ftp-proxy or socks to connect any service to the internet. I configured my socks-client correctly, so that nearly any program works without additional parameters, like ebayw, cddb-access, ftp, web-browsers, wget (with additional parameter to use the proxies instead of socks). Now my problem: I am not able to run ux2bs_inst.cmd succesfully, as rsnyc seems not to be able to work with proxy or socks (I didn't find any parameter to configure it that way). Ftp-commands some lines above also did not work, as my command-line-ftp does not support passive-mode and thats the only way, to use ftp via proxy, but I changed the lines in Rexx to use wget instead of ftp and that worked great. Do you have an advice for e, how to make rsync work with proxy or socks? TIA! If you are behind a firewall you may need to adjust one of the programs by adding an extra parameter to WGET. It's not something I have not had to do myself and don't recall which parameter. > Sorry!
