BYACC is an essential building block which is required for a number of other apps to build successfully. You really need to get it. Texinfo v4.5 is not currently available from GNU but you could change build.table to use v4.6. I would suggest renaming (or deleting) workdir and running update_base.cmd. > Ok, moved the bin/sh directory to the root "f:", now it works but it should also work without this "workaround". Once you introduce workaround then no one can be sure about what might happen. The system should be fully automatic. If it isn't then there is something wrong and it needs to get fixed. OTOH, Innotek's libc is missing some unix-like feature of EMX, i.e. no unified handle space for files and sockets (so handling sockets via select and close will not work) and no fork. I don't know how relevant this is for this particular software, but IIRC its some network related stuff, so no Unix-sockets might be a real problem. I don't know what I did about inttypes.h and stdint.h, but EMX+Posix/2 might be a better bet than anything else... If it's after the cmd has been started and you are using 4OS2, then you can execute "title newwindowtitle" without quotes. This doesn't work for CMD.EXE! Innotek uses this to check for 4OS2: /** * Workaround for bug in CMD.EXE. * It messes up when REXX have expanded the environment. */ FixCMDEnv: procedure /* check for 4OS2 first */ Address CMD ' at set 4os2test_env=% at eval[2 + 2]'; if (value('4os2test_env',, 'OS2ENVIRONMENT') = '4') then return 0; [...] Regarding the UX2BS problems here, I'll try to install it again (6. time so far....annoying, but hopefully it'll work). I'll add a pause to the batch files where the problems showed up in the past, so I can follow the problem better than before. Because the scripts call CMD I don't think 4OS2 is responsible. I've to do a quick new eCS installation before the next UX2BS test. I hope to find the issue of Daniela Engerts DANIS506.ADD driver and the nForce2 chipset problems that have been reported from some people (incl. my two machines).
