The posix project is all but dead and just plain did not work. gcc-3.2.2 seems to have overcome all the problems if/when it's stable. Innotek by the way (and their relationship with Mozilla) and rumoured 'innotekux2' has some ux2 core members stoked and for good reason. Well I say let's use it to our advantage. It uses the os/2 enviroment values to set case sensitive versions. For example: export ac_cv_path___UNZIP=${AC_CV_PATH___UNZIP} export ac_executable_extensions=${AC_EXECUTABLE_EXTENSIONS} export ac_exeext=${AC_EXEEXT} Or maybe just make ux2_local.sh the only source for ux2bs shell variables. - -- jimoe at sohnen-moe dot com pgp/gpg public key: http://www.keyserver.net/en/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 5.0 OS/2 for non-commercial use Comment: PGP 5.0 for OS/2 Charset: cp850 wj8DBQE/W4A3sxxMki0foKoRAp1GAKCZcrpuHaKDOF0oRawTuWcDSf8T/QCcDyXi hrMRyBd77TADXR0LlO/fCl4= =VsfI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 4 ==========================** Date: Sun, 07 Sep 2003 13:15:00 -0700 (MST) From: "James Moe" Subject: Make error: fork() -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I've been a lot of these types of errors when make runs: DosGetSharedMem: 0x00000005 g:/bin/sh.exe: cannot fork - try again Anyone know what this is about? - -- jimoe at sohnen-moe dot com pgp/gpg public key: http://www.keyserver.net/en/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 5.0 OS/2 for non-commercial use Comment: PGP 5.0 for OS/2 Charset: cp850 wj8DBQE/W5HEsxxMki0foKoRAqmKAKCR/2ARYvmRiggkuygg5wdCTYohlQCgoxbb zQVL7VgL+SzKZ95PLPJnkxo= =J7UR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 5 ==========================** Date: Sun, 07 Sep 2003 13:35:09 -0800 From: "Dave and Natalie" Subject: Re: Make error: fork() On Sun, 07 Sep 2003 13:15:00 -0700 (MST), James Moe wrote: >-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- >Hash: SHA1 > >Hello, > I've been a lot of these types of errors when make runs: > >DosGetSharedMem: 0x00000005 g:/bin/sh.exe: cannot fork - try again > >Anyone know what this is about? Zope is so easy it's stupid. Just unzip in root open ux2bs_shell(2.8.1) and run 'python wo_pcgi.py'. Then run 'zopefold' and create a user and start zope. You need Python223 first. Mailman is a little convulated. md /usr/local/mailman first Unzip src to \usr\local\src cd \usr\local\src\mailman-2.0.13 bash aclocal autoconf ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mailman --with-python=/usr/local/python223/python.exe --with-username=root --with-groupname=root --with-mail-gid=root --with-cgi-gid=root (all one line) make make DIRSETGID=: install cd \usr\local\src\mailman-2.0.13\src emxbind these: admin admindb edithtml handle_opts listinfo options private roster subscribe cd \usr\local\mailman\cgi-bin del *.* copy \usr\local\src\mailman-2.0.13\src\*.exe \usr\local\mailman\cgi-bin remove the .exe extension from all the files in \usr\local\mailman\cgi-bin rename wrapper.exe to zapper.exe and move to \usr\local\mailman\mail unzip mailman-ux2.zip (included) to /usr/local/mailman and run 'mailfold' Read the install.os2emx on how to install it and requirements. I don't think autoconf uses three '_' and even if it does that's an internal variable name you shouldn't use. 3. There should be a "public" variable, typically ZIP, UNZIP, where you can predefine your programs. That's an aclocal problem, I guess. Your MOZ_READ_MOZCONFIG is defined twice, perhaps. Maybe you can remove the redundant file or undefine([MOZ_READ_MOZCONFIG]) at the right place, e.g. at the begin of acinclude.m4 or aclocal.m4. Depends on the structure of your package.
