UX2BS tries to impose a very strict environment with the intention of creating a very standardised build system. It is preferable to use the environment built than an existing one. There reason for that is that any errors encountered are likely to be very common and easily reproducible by anyone else. If you want to use you own pre-existing build environment you can do so but don't be surprised if things don't work as expected. As far as downloading a huge set of archives, then that isn't strictly necessary, you can get by with just a small number of simple build scripts, but you do need to ensure the the required archives already exist under the correct directory structure. If they are found, they will be used, if not they will be retreived. A list of the required archives exists as part of UX2BS, so if you already have the archives, you just need to set a variable pointing to the location where the installation routine can expect to find them. > Jeff > > -- > ---------------- > Whatza JamochaMUD? > http://jamochamud.anecho.mb.ca > > Or other stuff: http://www.anecho.mb.ca/~jeffnik > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs
