Also, I think a number of the patches are now redundant due to enhancements in autoconf, so, what I'd like to see is a refreshed C_Source.diff from the archive above which strips out all the changes which are no longer required. Can anyone look at this file and suggest what would need changing? -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2003 11:39:49 +0100 From: John Poltorak Subject: Re: GNU Shell Utils On Tue, Apr 08, 2003 at 12:27:11PM +0100, Bart van Leeuwen wrote: > > John > > can you explain to me why you kill all the environment variables in ux2_env > ?? by building a zapenv..cmd ?? It required to establish a standard build environment for everyone who uses UX2BS. It enables any builds or failures of builds to be easily reproducible by anyone else. Without standardising the build environment it is almost impossible to confirm a problem whih someone else is having. Of course, the build environment is subject to change, as and when there is a requirement to change it. > specialy killing the path, seems a bit over kill for me. Why do you need mptn\bin on the path to build dhcp? The UX2BS environment only exists in a build shell, there is no change to config.sys so any normal cmd shell has the same environment which it has always had. > With Regards > Bart van Leeuwen -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 3 ==========================** Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2003 12:27:11 +0100 From: "Bart van Leeuwen" Subject: Re: GNU Shell Utils John can you explain to me why you kill all the environment variables in ux2_env ?? by building a zapenv..cmd ?? specialy killing the path, seems a bit over kill for me. Anyone tried building it? You can details about it here:- http://jocr.sourceforge.net It looks as though an older version of it was built on OS/2 a while back, so it should take too much to get it working. -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs
