I'd like to see if it works here. I added a "link" into the library which just calls _Link2, much like the header does via its define. (i.e. I added the following lines to the end of libext/libc/unistdx/symlink.c and recompiled cExt via "make clean && make" #undef link #undef _link #undef symlink #undef _symlink extern int link(const char *in, const char *out) { return _Link2(in, out); } extern int _link(const char *in, const char *out) { return _Link2(in, out); } extern int symlink(const char *in, const char *out) { return _Link2(in, out); } extern int _symlink(const char *in, const char *out) { return _Link2(in, out); } > > Actually, I had a quick look at the code and it looks like the "wait" > > call, waiting for the child process that did the real work is really > > producing some "funny" return value, therefore we get this error > > message... > > Is there a bug in the code? No idea. I didn't try to untangle what wait really expects and why it does get what it gets and what that return code implies. It seems like it actually is a reasonable warning but not one that's of critical importance.. There is a crypt subdirectory inside glibc. I haven't tried building crypt myself yet, but AFAIK this is the definitive source code which is an updated version of this:- ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/comp/os/os2/leo/crypt/gnuufc.zip You might be able to use the Makefile from KUR's original OS/2 port... > I am attempting to build apache httpd v2.0.44 and have run into this > wall. You could try applying the patch file - patches.emx from KUR's port, and if that fails just build that version. > ____________________________________________________________________ > > Sohnen-Moe Associates, Inc. > 3906 West Ina Road #200-367 > Tucson, AZ 85741-2295 > > email: sma at sohnen-moe.com Voice: 520.743.3936 > Website: http://www.sohnen-moe.com FAX: 520.743.3656 > ____________________________________________________________________ -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs
