OK I'll bear it in mind for another round of changes, but I don't think it's crucially important just at the moment... > Back to rsync, I suppose I got it working by mixing object files compiled > while Posix/2 was available with object files compiled without Posix/2. I know I did get it working at one point, but that was without Posix/2, although I did need an external syslog library. > Now, retrying compilation in a sane environment, I get the well-known > problems. I'd really like to see rsync compile easily. Then, maybe we canget some of the error msgs cleared up - I assume they are spurious because rsync itself appears to perform normally. > Regards, > Stefan -- John _______________________________________________ UX2BS mailing list UX2BS at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/ux2bs **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 11:58:35 +0100 From: Stefan.Neis at t-online.de Subject: Re: Posix/2 minor update Hi, > I'd really like to see rsync compile easily. Over here, with some "hacks" to Posix/2, it does compile now, currently we're discussing what the "correct" solution should be on the Posix/2 mailing list... > Then, maybe we canget some of > the error msgs cleared up - I assume they are spurious because rsync > itself appears to perform normally. Actually, I had a quick look at the code and it looks like the "wait" call, waiting for the child process that did the real work is really producing some "funny" return value, therefore we get this error message...
