I'd really like UX2BS to become a standard build environment for porting apps to OS/2. It does quite a good job with a number of apps and hopefully could do a whole lot more, but it does need a bit of refinement in certain areas, which it will only get with some input and feedback from people using the system. It is still very much in development but I would like to reach the point, in the not too distant future, where it will build Mozilla simply by running 'build mozilla' and everything else will be taken care of. If anyone here was previously subscribed to the old UX2BS list, I'd hope you will join up to the next one and hopefully help make some progress in arriving at a standard build system for OS/2. > I should have a webpage up for subscribing/unsubscribing, and a digest > list up soon, also started to correct some information at unixos2.com > and finally getting around to cleaning up assorted perl and rexx scripts > which I've been meaning to do for about 2 years, I'm sure you all know what > thats like :-) > > The link that unixos2.com is on will also be upgraded sometime in the coming > months back to a 2MB SHDSL line, its been on a 1500/256 for a while now > due to an exchange fault, the exchange owner decided to move our area > onto a different exchange that didnt have any SHDSL facilities but now > my peer provider will be installing SHDSL there. > > Cheers > IanM > http://www.os2site.com/ > > (2.5.2) DEFINITION.
