I downloaded the source, but to my dismay, the LIBTOOL is broken on OS/2 and the os2 subdirectory that purports to build the program has a makefile in it that assumes some totally different distribution of the source than is shipped in the gettext-0.14 tarball. Does anyone know where a working gettext can be had? Or even a working LIBTOOL? This is three times I've been bit by this stupid LIBTOOL dependency. Try here:- http://www.os2site.com/sw/dev/gettext/index.html You will be spoilt for choice ;-)... I generally have problems trying to build gettext and have stuck with 0.10.39 which is the only one I can build successfully. I don't know how much functionality has been added since. > Or even a working LIBTOOL? http://www.os2site.com/sw/dev/lib/libtool-1.5.zip or... http://unixos2.com/sw/pub/source/libtool/libtool-1_4_3.zip > This is three times I've been bit by this stupid LIBTOOL dependency. Apparently LIBTOOL is supposed to come with OS/2 support, or at least it did at one time. > Lorne > > -- > ----------------------------------------------------------- > lsunley at mb.sympatico.ca > ----------------------------------------------------------- > -- John
