There are some good GPL drivers available for wireless LAN cards (including miniPCI). I'm wondering if we might be able to benefit from some of that work. A far better place to ask your question would be the OS/2 device driver mailing list (http://www.tabi.org/timur/os2pdd.html). A driver that could handle >~1MB file transfers without the wireless LAN (TP A30p, miniPCI) crashing would make me extremely happy. h~
