Mailman only works with Sendmail for the aliases mechanism to work. The newer port of sendmail can be used in %uxrt% but there are no good quality pop3 servers for the new format. They switched their msg format from userdir/msg to a flat file format. I also switched to Weasel in single-domain mode for pop3 wo/SMTP. Does not get any better than this. -- T.Sikora tsikora at ntplx dot net _______________________________________________ Mailman-OS2 mailing list Mailman-OS2 at os2ports.com http://os2ports.com/mailman/listinfo/mailman-os2 **= Email 5 ==========================** Date: Tue, 09 Sep 2003 21:16:45 -0400 From: "T.Sikora" Subject: Re: [Ux2bs] Re: [Ux2-announce] Re: Mailman tweaking T.Sikora wrote: > Jeff Robinson wrote: > >> T.Sikora wrote: >> >>>> >>>> http://dumbdog.org:81/mailman/listinfo/ux2-announce >>>> >>>> Perfect for the UX2 mailing lists. > > > Mailman for * Python 2.2.2 * > > ftp://os2ports.com/pub/os2/unix/internet/mail/lists/mailman/mailman-2013-os2emx-030907.zip > > uses the 'old' ux2 /unixos2/home location > > Mailman for * Python 2.2.3 * > UX2 package > > ftp://os2ports.com/pub/unixos2/ux2bs-packages/mailman2013-ux2.zip > > uses 'new' ux2 /usr/local location and ux2bs/ux2 env. > > /bin/sh > /usr/bin/env > > copied from %uxrt% highly recommended on %osrt% > Mailman and Python has to be on the same drive ie; %osrt% as OS/2 Sendmail. I'll perform some tests and then I'll submit the patch. Thanks again for your suggestion! Bye, Andreas
