I indeed have version "8/02/96 17:34 40469 0 gnurx.dll" of gnurx.dll in my LIBPATH. I do not have any idea from where that version has come, because I have had it for years. Is there any method to force ux2_bootstrap.cmd to use only these versions of DLL's which comes within the base-install. I know that I can call "emxload -q" but I think that won't help to this problem. If I remember correctly some newer versions of Warp Kernel has "undocumented" feature which will allow you to load multible different versions from the same-named dll's to memory. (You just need to know the exact location of the DLL, when you load it) Mika **= Email 26 ==========================** Date: Tue, 30 Jul 2002 19:36:08 -0500 (CDT) From: "xyzyx" Subject: Re: New Autoconf On Tue, 30 Jul 2002 10:37:07 +0100, John Poltorak wrote: > >There is a new Autoconf at Hobbes:- ... >I can't find the original anywhere, so I don't know any way of applying >patches to see if I can rebuild it from scratch. ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autoconf In the same neighborhood is automake and the other things it requires :) I ran around this maze a few weeks ago, trying to build something that required the latest autoconf, which of course requires other things which require other things, all of which are newer/different than the versions I've got in my system... I eventually hit a wall where I couldn't get any further, and I gave up. Is there any other apps I should now try to build with bootstap? I noticed that without giving any parameters ux2_bootstrap.cmd stopped after building perl. (ie. no compilation for bison, etc...) I thought the baseline build added the gunrx.dll to libpath using BEGINLIBPATH= - the older one is in /usr/lib -- Regards, Mick -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Taylor miket at pcug.org.au ----------------------------------------------------------------- Home Page: http://users.bigpond.net.au/miket5au ----------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------------------------------
