Where I work Windows and IE are the only supported browsers. During my lunc or break, I visit a lot of OS/2 sites to keep up. Instead of a "allow" list of browsers, you should opt for a deny list, whereby you exclude one. This strategy stinks of Microsoft culture. I would think you would want to encourage as many people as possible to view your site. > Cheers > IanM > http://www.os2site.com/ > > Do not attempt to traverse a chasm in two leaps. > ===== Sincerely, James Cannon Using OS/2 Warp in the beautiful Wine Country of Northern California! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Two possibilities come to mind: 1) It was compiled with -Zomf, so you have to add -Zomf to the linkage command. 2) The .lo file is one of those "timestamp" files output by libtool, in which case you should have a corresponding .o file that you have to use for the DLL. h~ **= Email 7 ==========================** Date: Sat, 08 Jun 2002 17:32:26 +1000 (EST) From: "IanM" Subject: OT: browsers/stats - was JFS+HPFS386 Hi Dave >Has it occurred to you guys that a lot of people may have their OS/2 >browsers set to lie - to get around all those winbloze only sites? It has but its only a very small number, if they use OS2Web/Mozilla theres no need, my main problem has been Microsoft JAVA sites and even these have almost disappeared. I do know that a lot of people change the string in there mass downloaders to a "windows browser" string, so I've been toying with only allowing unix/linux/os2/ecs browsers like Moz, IBMWeb, Opera, eLinks, Links etc to access the site, it would make it easier for me BUT I've only mentally though about it as I know that a lot of people do download files at work (hmmmm) and then take them home. I'm gonna redo the CDEm-os2.zip and make a unixos2 pkg for it CDEm-ux2.zip I put a preliminary .fvwmrc in /incoming and commented out that damn audio module. It was driving me nuts.
