I think that was the precursor to MGL. Not quite. UniVBE + UniLIB (used in Warcraft, SimCity 2K, and other games of that era) were the precursors to MGL. SVGALib was an independent development. > > Are there any Linux programs which use MGL? > > Other than the example programs, I don't know of anything publicly > available... SDL seems to be the preference right now. I don't think SVGALib ever got broad acceptance or had much software developed for it. Most apps that were developed for it also had X versions. Maybe implementing SVGALib using MGL could bring a handful of additional apps/games to OS/2, but I personally think time is best spent elsewhere. **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Fri, 17 May 2002 07:44:10 -0700 (PDT) From: James Cannon Subject: Re: svgalib ? Hence Linux Quake was developed using SVGAlib instead. > Maybe implementing > SVGALib using MGL could bring a handful of > additional apps/games to OS/2, but I > personally think time is best spent elsewhere. I still want to follow along in my book. ===== Sincerely, James Cannon Using OS/2 Warp in the beautiful Wine Country of Northern California! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
