*************************************************************** * AskPSP - Updated Case Base for OS/2 Warp Connect and Merlin * *************************************************************** ======================================================= = AskPSP Case Base for OS/2 Warp Connect and Merlin = ======================================================= The WCTHDESK.ZIP file contains the following files: WCTHDESK.CBD WCTHDESK.CBK WCTHDESK.CBM WCTHDESK.CBR WCTHDESK.INF CPDEMO.INF (CasePoint tutorial) README.WCT (The file you are reading now.) To use these files, you need to have CasePoint for OS/2 installed. If you have previously installed AskPSP from either OS/2 Warp Connect (through PRODINST) or the IBM Technical Connection Personal Software CD-ROM, then you should have CasePoint for OS/2 installed in a CASEPNT subdirectory on your hard drive. The 4 files WCTHDESK.CBD, WCTHDESK.CBK, WCTHDESK.CBM, WCTHDESK.CBR need to be copied to the CASEPNT\ASKPSP subdirectory, and the WCTHDESK.INF file should be copied to the CASEPNT\ASKPSP\BOOKS subdirectory. NOTE: If you do not have a CASEPNT\ASKPSP subdirectory, you can either re-install and choose to put the case bases on your hard drive, or you can create the subdirectories manually and then copy the files to them. If you create the subdirectories manually, the icon will not open the new case base on your hard drive. In this case, you should either change the settings in the icon to point to the hard drive instead of the CD-ROM drive, or you can run CasePoint from the command line by typing CASEPNT.EXE from the CASEPNT subdirectory. You also need to make sure that in the ASSOC.OS2 file (in the CASEPNT subdirectory) the INF= line points to the CASEPNT\ASKPSP\BOOKS subdirectory on your hard drive--and not to the CD-ROM drive. Once CasePoint is running, you need to open the new case base by clicking on the Open File icon or by selecting Open from the File pull-down menu. Finally, double-click on WCTHDESK.CBD. You should be able to enter a problem description and see questions and actions appear. If you need help with CasePoint or have additional questions, CPDEMO.INF is a tutorial about how to use the Casepoint search engine in INF format. To view the tutorial, enter: VIEW.EXE CPDEMO.INF at the OS/2 command line with the CPDEMO.INF file in the current subdirectory. Please direct comments and suggestions to: tcinput@austin.ibm.com
